Data we collect
None.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information, browsing history, page content, location, financial information, authentication data, communications, or any other category of user data described in the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.
Data stored on your device
Only your own preferences.
Pet Break Reminder uses Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local to remember three things:
- Your usage time limit (in minutes).
- Your break duration (in minutes).
- Which target sites you have enabled.
These values stay on your device. They are never sent to us or to any third party. Uninstalling the extension removes them.
Permissions we request, and why
The minimum to do the job.
storage — to remember your settings between sessions, on your device only.
Host access to a fixed list of social media sites (X, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, Threads, Bluesky) — to detect when each tab is in focus, count usage time, and display the break overlay on those sites only. We do not read or modify the page content; we do not run on any other site.
Third parties
None.
Pet Break Reminder does not load remote code, does not call external APIs, and does not embed analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
